I have always been interested in the way a home can shape a life.
Before real estate, I was a teacher, with a background in education and psychology. That experience taught me how to listen carefully, ask the right questions, and understand that every person has a different way of seeing the world. When I moved into real estate more than 26 years ago, those lessons came with me.
Because finding a home has never been only about bedrooms, square footage, or resale value. It is about understanding how someone wants to live.
I have spent my life in Halifax, raised my family here, and watched the city grow and change while still holding on to the neighbourhoods, coastlines, and familiar gathering places that make it feel like home. Summers along Nova Scotia’s South Shore and family roots in Cape Breton gave me an equally deep appreciation for life near the water-the slower pace, the open door, and the way people naturally gather around a kitchen table or at the end of a wharf. Those experiences have shaped how I approach real estate.
